The report was prepared by Stantec Consulting Limited and focuses on opportunities to improve the timeliness of the Review Board’s environmental assessment process.

    Prairie Creek Mine public hearings

    The Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board held community and public hearings for Canadian Zinc’s proposed Prairie Creek Mine in Nahanni Butte and Fort Simpson June 22, 23 and 24. These hearings were well attended by all parties and members of the public.

    Three DARs in eight days

    The summer of 2011 will be a busy one. On May 11th, 2011 Tyhee NWT Corp submitted its Developer’s Assessment Report (DAR) to the Review Board. This was followed by Avalon Rare Metals Inc and Fortune Minerals Ltd both submitting their reports on May 20th.
